Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the world’s most accurate and medically verified 3D anatomy models.
Accuracy & Medical Verification
What makes SciePro’s 3D anatomy models the most accurate on the market?
SciePro’s human anatomy models are created in close collaboration with medical doctors, anatomists, and other specialists. Every structure is checked against authoritative anatomical literature, MRI/CT data, cadaver studies, and high-resolution 3D scans. Each model undergoes multiple expert reviews to guarantee unmatched accuracy and realism.
Are your 3D anatomy models verified by medical professionals?
Yes. All models go through a strict medical review process by certified anatomists and medical experts to ensure that every organ, vessel, nerve, and tissue is anatomically correct.
Is the model medically accurate?
Yes. Our team includes medical experts and anatomists who work alongside our 3D artists throughout the entire production process. Every single structure has been reviewed and double-checked for anatomical accuracy.
How do SciePro’s anatomy models compare to MRI-based or cadaver scans?
MRI scans and cadaver data are valuable references, but they have significant limitations when used directly for 3D models. MRI-based models often suffer from low resolution, making it difficult to capture small anatomical details such as fine nerves, capillaries, or subtle tissue boundaries. Cadaver specimens and MRI data also reflect individual anatomical variants and may include pathologies, previous injuries, or surgical alterations—none of which represent an ideal healthy anatomy. Certain structures are also inherently difficult or impossible to capture accurately with MRI, such as delicate membranes, small vessels, or thin connective tissues. In addition, MRI-based 3D reconstructions are often incomplete, requiring extensive manual cleanup and interpretation. At SciePro, we use MRI and cadaver data only as part of a multi-source reference workflow—combining them with anatomical literature, 3D scans, and expert feedback—to create clean, complete, and fully interactive 3D models. Our models are designed to represent ideal, healthy human anatomy, incorporating the most common anatomical variants for medical accuracy while avoiding artifacts or abnormalities that would limit their educational or professional value.
Content & Coverage
Do your models also include interior anatomy?
Yes. Every organ and structure is modeled both externally and internally. The heart, stomach, intestines, colon, gallbladder, urinary bladder, trachea, and many other organs have accurately represented interiors, just as they appear in real life.
Which anatomical structures are included in your model?
Our full-body model covers thousands of individual structures—more than any other commercially available anatomy model. We follow the Terminologia Anatomica as a reference standard, prioritizing the inclusion of every structure important for advanced medical education, surgical training, and research. This list continues to expand with each update.
What anatomical references and datasets do you use when creating your models?
We work from a combination of MRI and CT scans, cadaver dissection imagery, anatomical atlases, 3D scanning, and years of direct expert feedback. This combination ensures precision, completeness, and clinical relevance.
Can I get just specific body systems or individual structures instead of the full body?
Yes. You can license the complete human body, individual systems—such as the skeletal, muscular, vascular, nervous, or lymphatic systems—or even specific organs and anatomical structures. Technical Features
Is the model optimized for real-time use?
Yes. We produce both ultra-high-resolution versions for cinematic rendering and optimized real-time versions with clean quad-based topology, efficient UV mapping, and excellent performance in game engines and interactive applications.
In what file formats are the models delivered?
We deliver our 3D anatomy models in FBX, OBJ, and other industry-standard formats, ready for immediate use. We also supply project files optimized for 3ds Max, Blender, Maya, and Cinema 4D, as well as assets prepared for Unreal Engine and Unity 3D. Additional formats and custom exports can be provided on request.
Do the models have clean topology?
Yes. All meshes are built with 99.9% quads, optimized for both anatomical accuracy and computational efficiency. This makes them suitable for everything from cinematic rendering to real-time VR/AR experiences.
Are your models suitable for VR, AR, and mixed reality applications?
Yes. We have optimized versions ready for use in VR/AR devices and mixed reality training systems, without sacrificing anatomical fidelity.
Can I use the model in my app?
Yes. Our models can be used in native applications, Unity, Unreal Engine, and WebGL environments. They’ve been tested across multiple game engines, devices, and platforms to ensure smooth performance.
Can I use the model for 3D printing?
Yes. Our models are watertight and optimized for 3D printing. Many clients use them to produce surgical simulators, anatomical teaching aids, and patient education tools. Our collaboration with Stratasys has proven their reliability in high-end printing workflows.
Licensing & Customization
Can I make changes to the model to suit my project needs?
Yes. Our licenses allow you to modify meshes, textures, and other aspects of the model to match your technical or visual requirements.
What type of license do I get with a SciePro 3D anatomy model?
We offer commercial, educational, and enterprise licenses. These allow you to use the model in your approved projects while protecting our intellectual property rights.
Do you provide custom 3D anatomy models for specialized needs?
Yes. We can create custom anatomy models for medical devices, surgical procedures, pathology visualization, and specialized training programs.
Can you help us with custom changes?
Yes. We offer custom modeling, adaptation, and optimization services tailored to your specific needs.
Support & Updates
Do you provide support?
Yes. We offer support within the scope of our expertise and experience, helping you integrate our models into workflows such as VR/AR, animation, 3D printing, or app development. While we are committed to providing helpful guidance, we cannot guarantee unlimited support or assistance outside of our areas of expertise.
Are updates included if the model improves in the future?
We provide free updates for any technical fixes or corrections to anatomical accuracy, ensuring you always have a flawless, reliable model. Major content updates—such as newly added structures, enhanced textures, or expanded systems—are available as paid upgrades, as they require substantial development work to produce.
